Your gorgeous, gut-friendly, instagram drink!

With an evolving consumer mindset that wants health and wellness along with taste, healthy- lifestyle drinks have entered the carte du jour. Traditional drinks have got a make over and topping the charts is ‘turmeric’ which have rejuvenated the drinks menu.

Turmeric, first known to have been used in 250BCE, and with 53 Sanskrit phrases recorded highlighting its benefits, has become a global sensation. I mean, who doesn’t want to have an ingredient in their diet that cleanses, guards, and metabolises your immune system, inside out!

The health benefits of haldi doodh or turmeric milk are not unknown, with these ranging from cleansing blood to improving insulin function in the body. It is recommended that you drink a glass of haldi doodh before going to bed regularly. The milk we drink in this case is the regular one available at a local dairy. But can you also use some other kind of milk with tumeric? Yes, says celebrity nutritionist Rujuta Diwekar.

In her Instagram post, celebrity nutritionist Rutuja Diwekar has advised, “…It is recommended that you drink a glass of haldi doodh before going to bed regularly. She goes on to say that this ‘milk’ can be dairy or non-dairy.

“Turmeric milk or haldi doodh can also help you lose weight, as it is a powerful combination of “essential fatty acids, antioxidants and anti-inflammatory agents” the nutritionist added. When you sweeten it with organic jaggery, you’ve not only made it tastier, but also more nutritious.

Now, whether you’re targeting it as a cure cough and cold, or for building immunity, aiding weight loss and digestion, boosting skin health or just loading it for the powerful antioxidants and anti-inflammatory effects of curcumin, you have plentiful excuses.

The delicate aroma of Turmeric Spiced Jaggery coupled health benefits and that an eye-catching appearance, is quite a bargain!

Who said Haldi Masala Gur works only with hot milk (dairy or non-dairy)! Blend it in your morning smoothie with your frozen yogurt and favourite fruits for an energising and healthy breakfast! Start your day right!
